22:00 - start at the bar
Eight stools, no reservation. A paloma and esquites while you wait for a table is the local move, and the kitchen is calmest at this hour.
23:00 - the late table
Full menu until 23:30. Order tacos to share rather than mains; the kitchen is faster and the table stays social.
00:00 - antojitos and mezcal
After the kitchen closes we keep the small plates going. Guacamole, churros, a tobalá pour. The records get louder.
01:00 - getting home
Cais do Sodré station is two minutes away but closes at one. Night bus 202 runs along the river; taxis queue at Ribeira das Naus.
The neighbourhood does not wind down until two. Plan dinner late and you will eat better and queue less.
